Outbreak Summary
The Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE) announced on June 16th that at least 62 people have been infected with the Cyclospora parasite after eating at the Tacos del GNAR restaurant in the Western Slope region of Colorado. The illnesses have been reported starting on May 1st. In most cases, these kinds of outbreaks are caused by a tainted supply of produce or other ingredient. As of yet, the precise source of this outbreak has not been isolated, but we expect that it will be discovered soon.
